Best woods cam for 103.

The TW 777 cams are for engine builds that produce higher compression than the stock engine can provide. The 777 cam is not a low end torque cam and you need to run the bike over the 3000 rpm range to get the cam to perform. For a stock engine with a stage 1 upgrade the TW 222 or the TW 555 is a much better cam option.The SE251 cams do make noise. I wouldn't count on the Woods and different. Chris. More along the lines of 115HP and 125 lbs. of torque. 85 -90 HP 100-105 tq on a stock 103 with the 555. 100 hp 110 tq on a stock 103 that would be pretty hard to achieve.

They ran a 2014 Heritage with a 103/6 speed, stage 1 and pipes, made 78hp & 95ft/lbs. Basically same combo as mine without the cams, waiting to see what mine does, should be in the 90's for hp and 105-110 torque.

He is a big proponent of Woods Performance and the high torque camshafts. Check the Amazon books website, the used books are generally in great shape. Jim, given that you ride 2 up a lot and in mountains, I would think that you would want a cam that hits low in the RPM band to be the most useful. Something like a Woods Prowler .222 or even the Harley .255. I had the 255 in a Ultra Classic that I had bumped to a 103 from a 96 and really liked the low end pull. +1 on calling Fuel Moto.I wouldn't get a baffle any larger than 1 3/4". Vance & Hines power duals are pretty decent, the Kuryaky Crusher Mellow mufflers work pretty good. Cams are a tough choice, a lot depends on your tastes and riding style. Very good bolt in for a 96", little undercammed for the 103" but produces great torque in every range and a wonderful cam for touring (with a little racing fun too). Very quiet and well mannered. No cam noise like some of the other cams out there.
