Uncanny 229-239 -- I think this run is worth checking out. It includes 3 story arcs leading into Inferno: The Reavers (and the X-Men's move to Australia), the return of the Brood, and Genosha. The same is true with Wandavision or Loki. They are odd choices but managed to work. I believed they chose the X-Men 97 theme because its spirit is to be the "pop"/simple/distilled version of the comics. Like the MCU, X-Men 97 was able to make mutants very digestable for mainstream audiences and fans. And any of the 2D fighing games are fun really. X-Men Legends 2 is the X-Men game by which all other X-Men games are judged, in my opinion. It still ranks as one of my favorite games of all time. The Arcade Game, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Mutant Apocalypse on the SNES are my top three.
