He's actually pretty durable with his Quas minibuffs and early-game consumables in the early game phase. A lot of people don't really bother funneling resources to him any more as an average Invoker with enough levels can already do a lot with damage spells like Chaos Meteor(Meatball!) and a Deafening Blast. E-W-Q. Usually an escape combo. stuns with an empowered W and some free damage from your Q, as well as giving you your shield and ms to escape. E-E-Q.
