Wrong. for me Tyvek really restricted the FAE and the air inside the monotubs stagnated. Polyfill works best for me. I went back and experimented with tyvek during the colonization phase of the monotubs (when FAE isn't 'needed') with the plan to change to polyfill for fruiting. Clear plastic bin (like those made by Sterilite) or a ready-made monotub. An opaque black contractor bag (if you are going to make your own monotub) Polyfill or self-adhesive monotub filters.

Feb 4, 2012 · Simply twisting/pulling tears up the substrate badly . After my first tub the substrate looked like a yard that had 1000 gophers in it.
