Moonveil doesn't so much one-shot as insta-stagger a lot of enemies with the weapon art (the R2 version). A lot of tough enemies get staggered by one L2+R2 and then killed by the critical hit you can follow up with, and a good number of bosses get staggered in like two or three hits from it, too.

Moonveil has more range on it's specials compared to Uchigatana with it's standard Unsheath, but also costs more FP. Overall both weapons are great tbh. Despite all the hate that Moonveil gets, regular Uchigatana is basically on par with it. You need to have dedicated build for it to be good.
