I saw someone ask this same question a couple weeks ago. Shortly after that myself and a clan mate completed vow where I needed glaive and he need pulse. We both got it from the chest. Could be a coincidence, but also I have never known anyone to get a weapon from the chest they didn't have. Hope that helps!
