I can only assume that the problems that were going on inside of GM in the 2008 - 2009 time period made their way into the car. I guess the good thing for Enclave / Traverse / Acadia / Outlook owners is the failures we are experiencing haven't killed us like the ignition switch problem that GM knew about and ignored.
