It's just the brake pedal re-seating on the brake switch or the piston returning to "rest" in the master cylinder. I guess my last $25-$30K vehicle from another manufacturer is of the same "low quality" a my current $25-$30K car from Subaru.

On our MY18, I've done a couple things to quell that : 1) switched engine oil to Castrol Syntec 5w-30. 2) replaced 2 driver's side Vvt actuators (ours were leaky, this got rid of a lot of noise on that side) 3) use chevron techron concentrate annually to keep carbon deposits down and detonation quality high. regards.This just started yesterday.
