Stihl 011 av.
A guy I work with bought a 011av Stihl on an auction for 75 bucks. i know these are occaisonal use saws. What would be a fair price to try to sell it for? The saw is in great shape, starts easy, looks good, minimal scratches. It has a case and a spare chain with it. I will post a pic later, just got home from work.

From a design standpoint the 041 is kind of an oddball .The intake and exhaust are on the same side of the cylinder which doesn't lend well to a fast running engine . I've seen a few of them that in fact cut pretty good all things considered .
The fuel line has NO screw, goes right to the bottom of the tank, around the front of the carb and connects to the carb right side. The correct screw for the vent line is available and very inexpensive. You need to get the stihl fuel/vent line anyhow (must be the right size), so pick the vent kit at the same time, and a new fuel filter.STIHL Product Instruction Manuals. If your 010 oil pump is going out, the 1120 family (010, 009, 009L, 011 and 012) are all modular and parts are interchangeable. Also, they have an oil pump that works off of crankcase impulse. If a diaphragm is bad, you'll have a hard time finding parts. A used oil pump runs about $40 on ebay. Re: stihl 011. The 011 was reportedly a pretty good saw, and at 41ccs, more powerful than the 017 (30cc) or even 021 (35cc), but $150 is a bit high for a used one. I havent tried the 017, but Andy's good experience with it makes it sound easily worth the $30 or so more than you were considering spending on a used 011.
