As another poster said, the Discount Tire ad with the old lady tossing the tire through the plate glass window is the longest running commercial because at one point in the late 2000s Tootsie tried updating the commercial with boring CGI and breaking their previous streak. I remember this ad and it always made me cry. My brother was in the Air Force and while he separated shortly before this commercial came out, I could really relate to it. Actually it seems like a missed opportunity that they picked a guy in regular clothes coming home from West Africa rather than a soldier coming home from th middle east.
