Go into windows sound settings. Set your default output device to Arctis Game (the issue is the default switches itself over to Arctis Chat.). Make sure your settings save. Now relaunch the game and your va should be back.

For example, if the last word in the sentence would be 'archons', the voice would say something like 'archo-...'. It also seems that the longer the sentence, the more of the audio gets cut off. I think maybe there was no device set for combat audio by the game and force switching it to something else, then back to the same device updated it on the game end. Windows > Sound > App Volume and device preferences > Find FFXIV and change the Output (top entry) from whatever it is set to to anything else, then back to what the correct device is.

I just got the game on PC and randomly the audio cuts out and then comes back after a bit. Sometimes in a stuttering and annoying way. It seems to happen more often during fights. Switched from DX11 to DX9, got sound back. Game runs terribly on DX9 for me, so I tested if switching back to DX11 would retain sound and my sound now works on DX11. ... Hi lately I've noticed rarely some sound effects being cutout our missing parts.
