First time posting. We have a 2018 CrossTrek. Lately, the check engine light turned on, along with all the other warning lights (RAB, eyesight, etc.). Nothing works. Plus, the engine shutters at low acceleration. My wife remove the gas cap and put it back on with one click past close. The dealer reset the code and explained that it takes 3 full running cycles to automatically reset. (engine all the way cold to warmed up x3). TL;DR: If you get a check engine light and Eyesight disabled, check your gas filler cap and run thru 3 warm up/cool down cycles.

Not sure if it’s the same issue, but My 2011 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport had the check engine, traction control icon with a line through it, & cruise control icon blinking last week. I ended up bringing it to the dealership & it turned out to be a 12v fuse was blown. Fuse replaced & haven’t had the issue anymore.For example, maybe something is wrong with the car and it will effect how the Eyesight system works, or make it work incorrectly. So to prevent anything from happening, it just turns those features off until the Check Engine light is fixed. The Check Engine light could be on for something as silly as a loose gas cap.
