Some people do find different brand oil seems to quieten the noise some but experimentation is key for some because not all oils act the same in all engines..The ticking sound could be a number of things that have already been described, but the combination of ticking/chirping could be as simple as your belt and/or idler arm. The injector ballance rates are very good, as the truck has 40k on it. I can't locate it, it's easily heard from both passenger and drivers side of truck.
