It takes forever to update steps as I complete them or doesn't update at all. Currently in my new game it's stuck on the eat and drink step. I've eaten and drank a lot and it won't complete, very annoying.

Ive done it at least 10 times with the yog cleaver and it has not completed that step. Okay this one took a few tries to figure out, but basically you have to use the god tool to harvest a body until it turns into a loot bag. Not just once for your token, but two/three times. I'm stuck and have also been using the Yog cleaver.

Solution: you are not having the pet/thrall use the food, you are using it for yourself but from their inventory so the food item must be something the player character can eat/consume. It doesn't matter what food you put in their inventory, so long as it's food you yourself can eat.
