What Are Your Sailor Moon Headcanons? Talk/Discussion. There is a lot of uncertainty and differences in the series. Between the manga, crystal and the 90s anime. Back then the anime wasn't very clear either and had a lot of differences due to translation issues and censoring. Some prefer one over the other or a mix of them all.
The character designs are gorgeous and memorable, and the characters themselves are endearing, even the villains. I know Sailor Moon isn't a battle shonen, but I fully agree, the fights are underwhelming. They play out more like RPG encounters then well, fights. Everyone just stands around shouting attacks.
I'll forever prefer the DiC dub, all day every day, don't care what people say lol I don't give a damn about the edits, censorship, Americanization, etc, I just love the DiC dub. To me, it's way better than the Viz dub. These are some of my reasons: I love the music - I think the music was great. I love both the background music and the songs ...But the Viz dub is more faithful to the original so that's your best choice. The Dic dub is to Sailor Moon what the Ocean Dub/Original Funimation dub are to DBZ.
