The Benelli is a GREAT gun, and cost me about what I paid for both the Mossy's combined. If your budget is small, go with the Mossy's, they'll do the job reliably. The Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870 are probably the most common. A few other guns, like the Benelli M4, are also popular choices with plenty of options. Get a 500 with a rifled barrel (or a combo). If your main use-case is deer, you want that rifled barrel for sabot slugs, and the Nova slug barrels are outrageously priced from what I've seen. Benelli is a better gun all around. I'd get the supernova over the nova. Hated the super nova and loved my 500.
