Just remove one lever. All the fasteners are metric. I removed the right side lever since it was ready to fall off anyway. Then the safety will push out just like removing the takedown lever on a Sig. Press on it with your finger while rotating to clear other components. The safety bar will pop out the other side.

The PF-9 has a single stack magazine holding 7 rounds. It is one of the lightest and flattest 9 mm ever made.Fit and Finish, Grip. The PF9’s fit and finish could be a little better; I would cheerfully pay the 30 bucks more if Kel-Tec would just do it. On the plus side to the manufacturer, Kel-Tec’s service is known to be excellent and parts are cheap. The grip is awfully sharp without a mod.
The front edge of the "rear" piece (part #2) wedges under the rear wall of the magazine. Some can not get them off without breaking the extension... A few could not, without breaking it. I was able to get one off by inserting a blade under the rear wall of the mag and prying the rear piece out from under, then pull the 2 pieces apart.

The PF9 was easy to disassemble and easy to clean. The only surprise was the recoil spring popped out and I was not expecting that. Now putting it together was another story. I had trouble getting the slide back on, but a quick YouTube video later I had it back together. So long story short I was not impressed with the Kel Tec PF9.Compared the PF9 to the CZ RAMI and the H & K P7. Rated the P7 as an "A" and the Rami "B" and the PF9 a "F". WTFO Here's a quote "there is alot to recommend this gun; An OAL of 5.9 inches, 12.7 ounces weight, 1 inch wide across the slide- all of which allowed the PF9 to easily fit in the pocket.

Remove magazine. 2) Lay gun on right side on padding or newspaper.
