The crossbunk helped in two ways. 1. It keeps the bow of the boat high enough for the lip to clear bow roller before dropping into the water. 2. By supporting the front end like this it eliminated any bow bounce I was getting when trailering.The majority of the spray on the DLV come straight back out the bow. Because of the way it is shaped it just funnels it forward and the wind grabs it and brings it right over the bow. Like in 5 gallon buckets worth at a time.
