The general consensus would be that anything below a 500 is low even for DO schools. It's not an automatic rejection, but it's far below what medical schools want to see. There are a lot of factors that go into their decision, but GPA and MCAT are the biggest. I'm not well-versed in DO schools but I do know that medical schools aren't obligated ...So long story short I think you should take end of May because I don't think that 1 month is enough to study properly for a retake, so might as well give yourself as much time as you can to study for the May one.
