Well I was in the process of doin this when one of them snapped! Well I got on here and I have read that it supposed to be 22 ft lbs. While other people and sites have said it was 52 ft. lbs.The 4.3L OHV engine uses 3 different sized head bolts being 5 long ones 2 medium sized ones and 6 short ones. The shorter bolts go on the outer side of the cylinder head and get tightened down to 22 ft-lbs and then a 55 degree turn.
