The same occurs with the SAT to some degree. A perfect score is not just -0, it can be -1, -2, -3 etc, depending on the test.

In my opinion about 80% of the "terrible curve" issues are a result of these math changes, not reading and writing. (Though admittedly those areas also seem to have been slightly weakened by CB.) I am trying to get SAS data from a user who took the December 2018 SAT as a rare form in June.
