The newer machines list the 5W30 and 10W30 as well as the 15W40. The 15W40 has near the same low end temp rating as the 10W30 but has a higher high temp rating.Great kit to change oil. It comes with 1 gallon plus 2 quarts off oil. My 3038E only calls for a tad over 5, so careful don’t over fill. John Deere has changed oil filter design.
