If the track is tightening up to where the tension is correct, don't worry about how much adjustment is remaining. Look at the front idler (wheel) front part of the slide mount to see the remaining rail left before it falls off. Not sure that will make sense to anyone!!!!
I say that based on JD showing regular Hy-Gard for temperature range 50c to -25c. I doubt you will run it often at -40c.
