How to fix hill start assist not available ford focus.

Especially bc the hill start assist is for manual cars from what I know. The shop said the issue is the faulty tail light and to replace them but I don't think it's that. I went to ford and had the car scanned and they pulled a code "P0504: 00-6C - PCM". Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Just working on the remaining bugs on my build and I'm getting a hill start assist not available message on my IPC screen. I assumed maybe there would be an abs code but there isn't. I can't even find any diagnostic aids for it in the Ford workshop manual. I know its part of the abs system. Not sure why I would have no codes though.
