The HK91's with polygonal barrels were only offered in limited numbers for a couple of years as on option for the HK91 before it was dropped from the catalog. These are incredibly Rare and highly sought after by collectors and shooters as the polygonal barrel does not wear like traditional rifling and is almost impossible to shoot out.

The C308 is an excellent rifle made from newly manufactured and surplus new parts but it is a hybrid HK91/G3 and CETME design. Can't answer your question but the C308 muzzle brake seems to work very well. Recoil is light and easy on the shoulder. Replacing it with a flash hider will give the rifle a harder recoil feel.

Parkerizing the chamber would lead to extraction problems. As to the preferred type of parkerizing, there are two main types--manganese phosphate and zink phosphate. Zink phosphate tends to be gray to light gray in color. Manganese phosphate is dark gray to almost black in color, which I think would be more appropriate for HK.The SR9 is essentially a redesigned HK91, to make it more of a sporter rifle.
