If any of the rhizome is still firm you'll need to do immediate surgery to even have a chance of saving it. Take a razor blade and start cutting off the brown mushy 'rot' areas from the older end. The plants once grew in a huge field with acres of regular S. leucophyllas, and within the population were a few select white plants. S. psittacina, S. rosea, and several drosera species also grew in this gigantic field.

If I don't get to them before they freeze, I top water them and water their trays a bit, too. All, told, however, a frozen plant should be fine come spring.

You can try replantung the diseased crown and it might grow out of it but I wouldnt leave it connected with the healthy crowns. heatherfeather.
