Both revolvers have an adjustable rear sight & front sight (except for the three-inch GP100). Both weigh about the same. The big difference: quality.

I have a S&W 66 in 2 3/4" almost there. I had a 629 in 6" a long time back and traded it for a 4" to carry.
Idaho. I want to replace a Taurus .357 magnum with a 2.5" barrel with either a secuirty six with a 2.75" barrel or a SP 101 with 2.25". The Taurus shoots quite well but the side plate and ejector latch screws loosen after each shooting at the range. I don't want a carry gun with screws that loosen. Both Ruger's don't have these screws to loosen.
