I posted this in unpopular opinions and it turned out to be pretty damned unpopular. Pet people will forever downvote me across the site after seeing that post on my profile.People try to argue that they deserve similar rights because they have feelings and emotions too, but I don't even think that's accurate. Totally agreed. I think one of the biggest issues of pet culture is how people think animals are deeper than they really are. A dog can't help you get out of depression. A cat can't give you advise.
