Then, when it's go time, start the Soul, shift out of park, and then release the hand brake. Trust no one who doesn't like dogs, and no one your dogs don't like!

It may be all the way in park, but if the shift release rod, which is what the button moves, doesn't return to the full upright position, then the key lock will not release.
