Disconnect the battery; with the battery disconnected, turn ON the ignition and set on the break (if you have the push button start, it won't do any good to turn on the ignition, but you can still step on the break). Turn OFF the ignition and reconnect the battery.Original post follows summation: Intermittent limp mode with two warning lights: the red throttle lightning bolt and the traction control light. One code: P2173. No pattern, could go hours or even a couple of weeks. Shutting down and cycling the throttle would restore it until the next incident. Replacing the throttle body fixed it.

4WD. AUTOMATIC. 85,000 MILES. The vehicle started with a slipping feeling, then the chk engine light came on. The car went to 2 shops and had a battery installed and a tps installed and a second shop replaced the ignition switch. Now it is with me and I am #3. The codes are 0700,0122,0891,0562, tps volt high relay vol low and tcm sys failure.
