Coona$$, 'I' prefix would indicate manufacture in 1948. The Model 733 was introduced in 1957 - so NO it doesn't seem likely that 'I' would be the prefix. I believe that would be the MODEL number stamped on the end label of the box. The serial number should be stamped into the butt strap of the grip.
