A reliable SUBcompact .45. It's closer in size to a Glock 26 than a Glock 30. I had owned a full size XDM 9mm before and loved it but I did an even trade for a CZ 75b (to match with my other CZs and Kadet kit) The XDM was super reliable and accurate but just too large and heavy for a Polymer pistol.
The Glock just has tons more going for it. Loads more accessories and custom parts, mags are everywhere and cheap if you get Magpul mags, holster choices are dizzying, too. I started with a 2nd gen G17, went to an XD then sold it and went back to Glocks. Jun 5, 2019 · The grip really stands out on the M&P because Smith & Wesson spent a lot of time figuring out the ergonomics of the hand to fit the pistol. They use the standard 1911 grip angle but it comes with 3 different grip panels that are interchangeable for different hand sizes. The M&P has a pivoting trigger for safety.
Jun 5, 2010 · The Glock 19 and XD9 are both fantastic guns. There is nothing wrong with a grip safety just ask the 1911 folks. I prefer the Glock 19 over the XD9 but again both are good weapons. If this gun is primarily for her then go with what she feels more comfortable with. Both guns will get the job done. Maybe get the G19 now and the XD9 later.
The Mod.2 is approx 1" shorter in length, but it has a 1" shorter barrel. The length difference for the barrel doesn't really affect conceal-ability like the height difference does. The XD has a few hardware advantages. It's trigger is definitely better than the Glock's. The main 2 things I don't like about the XD are the high bore axis and the restrictive magwell. The thing I like most about the XD is its balance. The sights return like magic on splits. For me, the Glock is a better Production gun.Same happened to me on Tuesday. My Glock friend has the 19 and I have the 5.25 9mm. He had never fired mine in the few months I've owned it. After shooting the 5.25 he came back saying it was smooth like butter.
