The Civ 6 Archipelago feels almost like a modified small continents and islands plates is closer to what I want, but still not quite it. I have tried a ton of different spawns on both. I'm wanting to play a game that is almost exclusively naval. Oooh yes I need this. The best luck I've had is by making the Island Plates map type less ...Lol. The smaller sizes are actually larger then their CIV 5 counterparts, but huge is smaller in CIV 6 then in CIV 5. As for your bug with missing sizes...i'd try deleting the civ folder / game config in Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI and make the game recreate it when you start it again.
