The break in period (for the trigger) will vary. My 17.5 ate 200 rounds before the trigger loosened up. My 43x ate about 1,000 rounds before the trigger felt smoother (keep in mind both triggers are OEM - not the best, but reliable). The grain shouldn't matter at all as far as breaking in your new family member.

Trying to do a custom CR920 build. Already have the threaded barrel and the comp now I am changing out the recoil spring to a Sprinco and polishing the trigger. Yes it will fit. I had a stock 43X recoil spring and an upgraded one from the glock store that worked in both the 43X and CR920.
