Farmall 450 lp head.
The LP head doesn't have the breather tube going from the back of the head to the air cleaner and the oil circulating loop over the valves. This head is really in better shape than the LP head, so I will probably use it. Either way, I need new valves, which are both 5 15/32" long.
Jan 3, 2016. #1. For farm use, all u want is about 140 lbs of compression, and 1 other thing is did your M get the advance kit,for the ignition, that came with the 4 in kit, years ago. Machine shop said the cracks could be fixed but he knew of a head trhat had been checked out and ready to have valves put for $300.Both were 8060s I had $400 invested and the old head . I bought a cliking torque wrench at an Auto Value for $22 .

It has the smallest combustion chamber of any IH made that will work on 6 series engines. 400,450 gasoline was the next smallest after that. M through SMTA gasoline was the next smallest after that.
