Detroit 60 series starting problems.

Replace the oil filters, I like to fill them also, install the drain plug, fill the system, start it and let it idle for 1 minute. Shut it down and while waiting change the secondary filter. Check the oil level, start it up and idle for another minute Job done. I use the same procedure on all engines.Batteries are the usual problem in this case. Even if your voltmeter says things are ok when your cranking your starter is spiking your truck voltage down and your DDEC is shutting off or at best not able to provide enough voltage to fire the injectors. 60 series Detroit won't start. Have a 11.1 60 series Detroit in a 1997 Volvo truck. Parked it in the shed and now it won't start. Turns over fine but won't fire. Fuel is coming out of the return line on the back of the head when we crank it over. Replaced the TRS and SRS sensors and still no luck.Just bought truck and drove it home 400 miles, been driving it around for about a week. Went to move it the other day. Boost is produced by adding extra fuel in the combustion process to create a hotter exhaust and more exhaust gas pressure. boost is produced as the exhaust turbine winds up from that extra heat / pressure produced from the extra fuel. loose intercooler hoses , cracked intercooler will loose that extra boost.

Here is my problem I have a 12.7 detroit 60 series and it seems like it just doesn't have any power. The turbo whistle is very faint. I have a little bit of black smoke out of pipe when i accelerate onto the interstate. I had a brand new crate model put in 2008 and they didnt change the turbo.
