Bought a nh 648 round baler with net wrap, the problem I am having is the knife on the net wrap isn't going down far enough to cut the wrap and everything is free and moved good, I added some weight to the knife so it will drop down and now it will cut bout every 3 times but when I lift the tailgate the knife won't come back up so gotta get out every bale and lift the knife back up.

I have been looking at my first round baler looking for something that makes a 4x5-6 bale and want net wrap. I was talked out of a 435 after talking to several people that said if you want net wrap in a older baler get a New Holland. What's the Pro's and Cons to the 640, 644, or 648 New Holland's.

Only thing that really helped was jump out an make a narrow windrow for 20' or so.
