It's got an awesome gas system and some weight behind it. V3 is essentially the same gas system in a lighter gun. I had a V3 cut down to 18.5" and that thing is friggin quick. Have a 1301 and it makes shooting so much easier than using the Moss 500. The double is easier on my shoulder but the 1301 gives more rounds before a reload. Arthritis has made a pump hurt racking the slide, also fast arm movement to draw a pistol hurts. A 1301 cross slung seems to cause the smallest amount of discomfort.

The Benelli 11701 Limited Edition M4/M1014 has a fixed skeletonized stock (due to the recoil tube NOT machined for the stock to slide closed).The 1301 and is lighter but feels more like a plastic gun.
