Eleonora's pole blade scales a bit better with arcane but still not enough to be worth 50 point stat dump. Only put points into arcane if you want to use incantations and use dragon seal to scale the incantations off arcane + get some extra bleed procs. or if you plan on using other weapons and converting their status to blood or occult.

I recently picked up the weapon because it's soooooooo cool looking and I'm doing a faith build. I tried it against the final boss and the fight before it. I feel like so many of my attacks are too slow to punish any openings, I can't seem to break poise, and my hits aren't really doing that much damage despite a 55 in strength and a 46 in faith.

The Poleblade's charged heavy & Aow are stylish & fun to use, + the AoW can save you in a pinch with a build in dodge on second hit. The fire can stagger some enemies. Looks like they count Eleonora's Poleblade as an S-tier arcane weapon... and I honestly don't see why. It felt pretty underwhelming due to its low damage output and blood buildup(it has like 57 buildup on +6 while godskin poleblade+7 is 87). Its weapon art is decent and good at staggering but too slow IMO. I'm 40 Dex and 27 Arcane now.Furthermore, two handing gives the poleblade a very short range. imo, the extra bleed is not worth the lack of range and inferior moveset. You have to advance yura's quest line. He's the guy with the raiden had over his head. You have to kill the invader in the ravine to get the knife, kill the dragon at the starting lake, and then on the bridge at the entrance to the academy there is a red invasion summon.
