Feb 17, 2009 · Only twin cam softails cam with the "b" motor. All touring and Dyna motors are the "A". The main difference is the Softail "B" motors have 2 balance weights that are driven by the crank. Typically the "A" motors make a few more ponies, but the difference is very minimal. Also another difference is the a's are rubber mounted to help with vibes.
