It's totally open source and you can see everything that's put in there. website is moderated regularly, its mostly safe but i would still look into comments on lesser known huds.

The good news is that Mastercoms, the person that allows us to have a consistent FPS in the creaking and groaning TF2 engine, has put together a new HUD repository.
