There are plenty of games that run at an unlocked framerate on console, all the way back to the early days of 3D games. There have also been plenty of games that It works perfectly fine for me. I save the game (it saves it to folder 0), I edit the save in the save editor. I can increase attack up, endurance, etc, and it all works perfectly fine. The only thing I would suggest is to not enter a number higher than it allows or it won't save it.
